The album pulls from their deep networks, featuring guest appearances by Bay Area icon Too Short, Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter, Demrick, and Son Doobie. Singles like "You Might Know Us" and "Lyrical Hammers" - the latter enhanced by Carpenter's gritty guitar ri- s - previewed the dynamic, genre-spanning sound of the project.
