Cobham was fresh off his success with the Mahavishnu Orchestra when he recorded Spectrum.The guitar licks from Bolin (Zephyr, James Gang, Deep Purple), who overdosed three years later, are particularly memorable and he merges beautifully with Cobham's Mahavishnu band mate Hammer.
