The result of a superfun collaboration between SCEA Santa Monica Studio and indie developers thatgamecompany, Journey features stunning visuals, innovative cooperative gameplay, and an amazing music score performed by live orchestra and featured soloists. Composed by Austin Wintory, the music from Journey tells a story of its own and enjoys the honor of being the first video game soundtrack to be nominated for a Grammy Award.
We teamed up with acclaimed artist, Mark Englert, to create original album art that honors the beauty and emotional voyage that players experience when traversing the world of Journey.
iam8bit began 10 years ago as an art show — so naturally, we view EVERYTHING as a canvas, including vinyl records. This set includes two picture discs, featuring unique art on each side (for math junkies, that’s FOUR different sides of visual goodness!). The scarf of the Traveler wraps around the album’s perimeter, creating an almost hypnotic effect as it spins. If you pay close attention to the Traveler’s robe, you’ll notice that the embroidery becomes more ornate as you progress from side A to side D — just like each time you beat the game.
Rarely does a game come along that shatters all convention, revolutionizing our perspective on what interactive entertainment is capable of. Journey, the seminal, groundbreaking and now-legendary opus from developers thatgamecompany and Santa Monica Studios and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment, is a perfect expression of that. We can’t overstate just how immaculate and important Journey’s music is to the greater gaming echelon — a fully orchestrated masterpiece, where robust epicness is complemented by intimate solos — which is exactly why it was the very first video game album nominated for a Grammy. - Shipping times are estimates, and transit times may vary. While we usually ship within one business day, please allow us up to 2 business days handling time for each shipment.
- Shipping charges on all premium shipping options (non-media mail) are non-refundable.
- Flat-rate media mail shipping is intended for individual consumers and not bulk purchasing. We reserve the right to request additional payments for bulk purchases using our flat-rate shipping service.
- If you would like your pre-orders and in-stock items shipped separately, please order them separately. Otherwise, we will ship all items in your order when the last title is released!
- Street dates for pre-orders are tentative and are subject to change.
- Every international order includes shipping insurance that covers both the purchase and shipping costs. In the event of a lost or damaged package, we will file an insurance claim on your behalf. If the claim is accepted by the insurance company, we will refund you the amount offered in the claim. If the insurance claim is rejected, no refund will be provided.
- Any duties, taxes and customs fees for international orders are the responsibility of the customer.
RETURNS
Domestic Returns (US Only): We stand by all of our products and offer a refund on all products within 30 days of purchase (excluding products marked as warehouse finds/no returns, bulk orders, or international orders). Returned items must be in the same condition they were sent. Shipping charges on all premium shipping options (non-media mail) are nonrefundable.
International Returns: Due to the cost of international shipping, we do not offer refunds, exchanges or returns on international orders. Every international order includes shipping insurance that covers both the purchase and shipping costs.
