Baden Powell de Aquino, better known simply as Baden Powell, was one of the most prominent and celebrated Brazilian guitarists and guitar composers of his time. He combined classical techniques with popular harmony and swing, and performed in many styles, including bossa nova, samba, Brazilian jazz, Latin jazz and Brazilian Popular Music. This release presents his second album as a leader: Um violao na madrugada. Three 1959 tracks featuring Baden Powell with a similar group, as well a version of his composition "Consolaçao" recorded by the guitarist with American flutist Herbie Mann have been added as a bonus. Records arrived inside the special record boxes, unopened, and in pristine condition. They didn't very long to begin the shipping either. Some places make you wait 3-5 days just to have it shipped out. They did not.
This is not about the product. I've ordered from PBD before and the Vinyls that come from them are wonderful and pressed really well!
