Dennis Brown's Deep Down celebrates it's 50th anniversary with it's first-ever official reissue - a long-awaited return of one of his most treasured and elusive albums, originally released in 1976 on Niney the Observer's imprint. Remastered using analogue machines, this edition restores the warmth, grit, and vitality that define the golden age of roots reggae.Pressed on a special ultra gold vinyl, this anniversary release celebrates the deep tones and pure soul that made Dennis Brown a true alternative to Bob Marley and The Wailers. While Marley carried reggae's revolutionary fire, Brown brought a more romantic and spiritual touch - a sound that would help define what the world now knows as Lover's Rock.By the time Deep Down appeared, Dennis Brown had parted ways with Trojan and was working with producer Winston "Niney the Observer" Holness, a partnership that produced some of the greatest roots reggae ever recorded. Records arrived inside the special record boxes, unopened, and in pristine condition. They didn't very long to begin the shipping either. Some places make you wait 3-5 days just to have it shipped out. They did not.
This is not about the product. I've ordered from PBD before and the Vinyls that come from them are wonderful and pressed really well!

USPS seemed to have goofed around a bit and cause a delay of about 1.5 weeks. Tristan was a highly communicative person and was reassuring with the options I had regarding if my order never arrived.
