In 1966, following his debut album the previous year, Derrick Harriott opened his own record shop and distribution at 125 King Street in downtown Kingston. Like so many other Jamaican vocalists, he began to come into his own artistically with the gentler, more reflective rocksteady beat. Heavily influenced by the music then emanating from America rocksteady proved to be an exciting and authentically new wholly Jamaican style and Derrick proved to be one it's greatest exponents. A perfectionist who was never satisfied to accept the first, second or third take he became well known as a painstaking task master in the studio in the nicest possible way. He closed the decade with "Sings Jamaican Reggae". Records arrived inside the special record boxes, unopened, and in pristine condition. They didn't very long to begin the shipping either. Some places make you wait 3-5 days just to have it shipped out. They did not.
This is not about the product. I've ordered from PBD before and the Vinyls that come from them are wonderful and pressed really well!

USPS seemed to have goofed around a bit and cause a delay of about 1.5 weeks. Tristan was a highly communicative person and was reassuring with the options I had regarding if my order never arrived.
