Drop Nineteens release their first new track, "Fools," since their return to the spotlight in 2023 with the Hard Light album. The track sees them in swooning shoegaze mode featuring layers of glide guitar beneath gentle vocals sung by Greg Ackell and Paula Kelley. The band re-issued 'Delaware' and '1991' in 2024 & 2025 respectively, gaining even more accolades along the way & solidifying the band's reputation as a first wave shoegaze band "in a league of their own" (Pitchfork). These last 3 albums received praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan and countless others."Fools" was mixed by Chris McLaughlin (Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Kanye West) and features a video directed by Liza Willsey. Here is what band leader Greg Ackell has to say about the track:"Fools" originated with some beautiful heavy chords Steve came up with. I think he was trying to trick me into bringing a bit more gaze than we have since Delaware. And it worked. It's a snake let in under the door. And as snakes do, it coils into itself. More than writing it, this song happened to us. And so that's what the subject of the song is about, itself. Chris McLaughlin (Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Kanye West) totally understood all of this and delivered a searing mix that's both metallic and oozing with warmth, which is not easy to achieve. We are ecstatic to have him and his bag of tricks on hand for the next album."

Records arrived inside the special record boxes, unopened, and in pristine condition. They didn't very long to begin the shipping either. Some places make you wait 3-5 days just to have it shipped out. They did not.
This is not about the product. I've ordered from PBD before and the Vinyls that come from them are wonderful and pressed really well!

USPS seemed to have goofed around a bit and cause a delay of about 1.5 weeks. Tristan was a highly communicative person and was reassuring with the options I had regarding if my order never arrived.
