NORWEGIAN PROG MASTERS GAZPACHO RETURN WITH THEIR NEW ALBUM ‘MAGIC 8 BALL’ After a five-year break, ‘Magic 8 Ball’ marks Gazpacho’s return with eight new tracks built around the idea of fate. How it moves without warning & how the choices we make can slowly strip away who we thought we were. The album is structured as a series of short stories. Each song follows a different character at a breaking point. Moments where something changes permanently, whether they see it coming or not. ‘one of the greatest bands the scene of prog rock has ever seen’ – REBEL MUSIC The concept is rooted in the Ship of Theseus. If you lose parts of yourself one by one, are you still the same person? The band uses that question to explore identity, regret, memory & how time reshapes everything, often without us noticing. The title, ‘Magic 8 Ball’, ties into the idea of randomness & inevitability. Shaking something for answers you already suspect & repeating the cycle over & over. The idea of infinity is central. These aren’t just one-off stories. They echo each other, showing how easily the same patterns can return in different forms. Musically, the album stays true to Gazpacho’s core. Atmospheric, layered & emotional. But more focused. No unnecessary weight. Just eight stories told with clarity & tension. The album was mixed by Thomas Juth (a-ha/Elton John/Paul McCartney/Cat Stevens) & mastered by Hans Olsson at Svenska Grammofonstudion Mastering. Widely regarded as one of the most innovative acts in modern progressive music, Gazpacho have carved out a cult following with their unique blend of art rock & cinematic storytelling. From their critically acclaimed 2007 masterpiece ‘Night’ to the hauntingly beautiful ‘Demon’ (2014), the band has consistently pushed the boundaries of progressive music. They've toured with legends like Marillion, played to devoted audiences across Europe & earned a reputation for crafting concept albums that challenge & move listeners in equal measure. This edition of ‘Magic 8 Ball’ is presented as a CD digipak & includes a 24-page printed booklet with lyrics & artwork by Antonio Seijas.

Records arrived inside the special record boxes, unopened, and in pristine condition. They didn't very long to begin the shipping either. Some places make you wait 3-5 days just to have it shipped out. They did not.
This is not about the product. I've ordered from PBD before and the Vinyls that come from them are wonderful and pressed really well!
