Limited edition of 1200 numbered copies on red coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Joe Satriani is a world-famous guitar virtuoso who started out as an instructor for many other guitar virtuosos such as Steve Vai and Metallica's Kirk Hammett. In the mid-80s he started a successful solo career but also played for Mick Jagger in 1988 and Deep Purple in 1993, as well as supergroups G3 and Chickenfoot. He is a 15-time Grammy Award nominee and has sold over ten million albums, making him the bestselling instrumental rock guitarist of all time. Released in 1986, Not of this Earth is Satriani's fully instrumental debut album. Even though at this point he was still maturing as a guitarist, he'd already developed a unique tone and a signature style defined by licks only Satriani could come up with. If you're a fan of his 1987 breakthrough record Surfing with the Alien, you really can't miss this precursor.
