Vinyl LP pressing. Kitty Wells made for an unlikely trailblazing feminist icon, with her gingham dresses and plain, uncomplicated voice. Yet this quiet, unassuming housewife and mother with a passion for country music and one of the longest and most lovingly stable marriages in the business, championed the downtrodden woman through her music, inciting controversy along the way. She proved the male-centred country music establishment wrong by headlining her own shows, and selling millions of records in a career spanning over fifty years. Wells opened the door for female country artists like Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, and Reba McEntire. Parton said of Wells, "Kitty Wells was the first and only Queen of country music, no matter what they call the rest of us". Lynn stated, "If I had never heard of Kitty Wells, I don't think I would have been a singer myself". For McEntire, Wells was quite simply her "hero". This collection showcases Kitty Well's finest decade from 1952-62 featuring her biggest hits including "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels", "Release Me", "Making Believe", "Repenting", "I Can't Stop Loving You", "Heartbreak USA" and "Unloved, Unwanted". It is a true celebration of Honky Tonk at it's best.

Records arrived inside the special record boxes, unopened, and in pristine condition. They didn't very long to begin the shipping either. Some places make you wait 3-5 days just to have it shipped out. They did not.
This is not about the product. I've ordered from PBD before and the Vinyls that come from them are wonderful and pressed really well!

USPS seemed to have goofed around a bit and cause a delay of about 1.5 weeks. Tristan was a highly communicative person and was reassuring with the options I had regarding if my order never arrived.
