PRODUCT DETAILS
A limited-edition first-ever 7-inch release featuring two standout tracks from Nanbei Ryokou ('South American Journey'), the fourth album by legendary Kansai singer-songwriter Kyozo Nishioka, recorded in Los Angeles in 1979 after his travels through Mexico, Miami, the Bahamas, and New Orleans. Included are one of his most celebrated signature songs, 'GYPSY SONG,' long beloved by fans and covered by many artists, and 'NEVER LAND,' notable for it's resonant steel-pan sound and it's distinctive Japanese-reggae flavor. The recordings feature members of the So-Bad Revue, including Junshi Yamagishi (g) and Osamu Ishida (g), as well as world-renowned steel-pan player Robert Greenidge, known for his collaborations with Van Dyke Parks and Taj Mahal.
