PRODUCT DETAILS
As our ears wander through the cacophony of a saturated world, drowned in the dissonance and excess of noise that besieges us, Rien Virgule invites us to explore sonic interstices, to slow down and resist the frenzy. With 'Berceuses des deux mondes' ('Lullabies of the Two Worlds'), the deafening fires of the din are extinguished, the volume of the over-amplified world subsides, and music becomes a refuge. We listen as though contemplating a flickering candle flame, imbued with luminous melancholy. Two ears like two worlds: contrasts are reflected, musical pieces transform into movements, telluric spaces collide, crackle, and resonate. With this fourth album, the band amplifies it's musical geology, revealing barely perceptible forces, all marked by tension and subtlety, to sculpt finely chiseled soundscapes.
