PRODUCT DETAILS
With a title like Cannibal, it's no surprise that this 2007 album presents Static X at it's most, er, bloodthirsty. Lead singer Wayne Static put it plainly: "I think it's the most metal record we've ever made, and it's arguably the heaviest record we've ever made." Cannibal is the first Static X record to have numerous guitar solos, which herald the return of founding guitarist Koichi Fukuda; and the change in producers (from Ulrich Wild to John Travis) no doubt played a role in the band's shift back to the more intense sound they premiered with Wisconsin Death Trip. The record went Top 40, and "No Submission" wound up on the Saw 3 soundtrack. In short, a return to form after the chaotic personnel and stylistic changes of Start a War. Cannibal is here given it's first-ever vinyl reissue with a bonus track ("Light It Up"). Blood and bronze splatter pressing inside a gatefold jacket!
