So Much for the City, the debut album from Irish indie band The Thrills, was released in May of 2003. It spent 61 weeks in the top 75 of the Irish Albums Chart and debuted at No.3 on the UK charts, where it remained for 25 weeks. The single "Big Sur" reached No.17 in the UK, which remains their highest charted position in the country to date. The album was nominated for the 2003 Mercury Prize and won Album of the Year at the national music awards in Ireland. It was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, and the song "Santa Cruz (You're Not That Far)" was ranked by Q Magazine at number 550 on their list of the 1001 best songs ever made. This limited reissue is repressed on white vinyl.
