Tenor saxophonist Curtis Amy recorded his powerhouse live album, Tippin' On Through, for Pacific Jazz in 1962 at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, California with a stacked sextet featuring Roy Brewster on trombone, Roy Ayers on vibraphone, John Houston on piano, Bob Whitlock on bass, and Lawrence Marable on drums. This stereo Blue Note Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
